In Maine kaufen alle holzofen wie verrueckt, heizoel ist von $2.28 auf $4.77 seit diese zeit letztes jahr gestiegen... bei den alten preis konnten schon die meisten sich das nicht leisten...

Jo jo... wieder ein form des Malthusische Katastrophe, ne?

Bevolkerungsfalle, fehlplanung, reingelockt... disaster!

Hab mir gerade ein holzofen beim flohmarkt fuer $20 gekauft damit ich hier einer zur not habe... kettensaege auch! 4 monate vorrat und waffen, falls es "knallt" und ich kann nicht gleich wieder nach Maine zum bunker.

Meine frau ist froh das wir ein untergrund solarhaus gebaut hatten - im haus ist kein thermostat!!... es nimmt nur 1/8 das brennholz zu heizen wie ein normal haus wenn die sonne mal nicht scheint. Wenn sie aber scheint ist's ALLES freie energie!

Naja... dann muss ich wohl meine 9 eingemotteten holzoefen rausruecken und die verwandten schenken... -die dachen ich hatte nicht alle tassen im schrank wie sie die ganzen oefen im schuppen sahen!

I found it over at PIPA the other day, and thought I might post it over here, as I often refer to it.

Will it be the winter of 2008/09? -none of the other years had so many of the preconditions fulfilled:

Hmmm... the other night I had a flash about "The Winter of Horrors" - is it one of the 2 remaining "4 Shudderings"?

ED. NOTE: We all agreed back then in 2005 that the 4th "shuddering" after Katrina, Rita and Wilma was the Kashmir quake that left over a million homeless with an oncoming winter (shaking and cold). This left the "winter of horrors" for a seperate event of the future

Oil problems
Refinery problems
Lines at gas stations - 10 gal limits?
Gasoline supply problems
Heating oil supply problems
Skyrocketing fuel prices
Possible government fuel/energy rationing mandate
Sharply increased inflation
Money problems
Consumer spending down
Lousy Christmas sales season
Automobile sales flat (no one wants SUV's and big pickups)
Economic problems
Agricultural problems
Food prices skyrocketing
Power outages widespread - real disaster possibilities
Electric rates rising sharply
Elderly and poor suffering from lack of heat

These were the conditions in the dream back in 2005. Two or more of these points could be considered as preconditions or precursors: "economic problems"" (Summer 2007 housing/mortgage bubble burst) and "skyrocketing fuel prices" (oil at $99 a barrel recently and poised to exceed that).

Anyway, with so many of the precursor "signs" having been fulfilled, it might be a good time to start thinking about getting stuff together to be able to bundle-up, stay warm, be able to eat well this winter.

I've been cruising dozens of yard and garage sales and have found good down coats and comforters at almost give-away prices...

(PS, the "dream" was accompanied with a message that up to a half million people will perish from some consequences tied to this winter of horrors... a large natural disaster at an inopportune time?)

That German article says "tens of thousands" not 10,000...

and it will happen here too, THIS WINTER...

-it is shaping up to be THAT Winter of Horrors I predicted on Prophs in 2005!
